Three new conditions now available in TreatGxplus

The team at GenXys is excited to announce that Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease, H. pylori Eradication and Dyspepsia/Peptic Ulcer Disease are now covered by TreatGxPlus (pharmacogenetic test and decision support system).

H. pylori Eradication

Helicobacter pylori is a bacterium that infects your stomach. Most people don’t realize they have this infection until they develop a stomach or intestinal ulcer.

TreatGxPlus covers medications used to help treat an H. pylori infection. Treatment involves a short course of a combination of antibiotics and acid-reducing medications.

TreatGxPlus covers three medications with pharmacogenetic markers to help tailor your prescription therapy to treat an H. pylori infection.

Dyspepsia/Peptic Ulcer Disease

Dyspepsia or indigestion describes several different symptoms including stomach pain, bloating, nausea, burping, or loss of appetite. Dyspepsia can have many different causes, including ulcers, lactose intolerance, anxiety, or certain foods or medications.

TreatGxPlus covers medications that reduce stomach acid to give your stomach or intestines an opportunity to heal.

TreatGxPlus covers four medications with pharmacogenetic markers used to treat dyspepsia or peptic ulcer disease.

Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)

GERD occurs when stomach acid leaks from your stomach back up into your esophagus. This is also referred to as heartburn when the acid causes a burning sensation in the chest or throat.

TreatGxPlus covers over-the-counter antacids and medications that reduce acid production in the stomach. These medications may be needed if lifestyle modifications do not improve symptoms.
