TreatGx has undergone some exciting changes to make it easier and faster than ever to generate personalized medication treatment options. As a result of this update, you may notice that some question categories may display as red and require you to re-input information.
We’ve updated the way we ask questions for each condition so that the most important questions for the condition appear at the top. In addition, “Drug History” and “Medical History” have been replaced with three new categories of questions:
Condition-Specific Questions – The questions that appear here will dictate which medication treatment options you see. They are important decision points in the condition treatment algorithm and therefore should be assessed and answered accurately.
Chronic Conditions & Diagnoses – These conditions are common diagnoses that are often found in a patient’s electronic medical record (EMR) and generally affect the patient on a long-term basis. If TreatGx is connected directly to an EMR, these conditions may already be populated based on the patient’s profile.
Drug Contraindications – These questions are relevant to the medication treatment options that are offered in each condition. These are reasons that a medication might not be safe to take, and include questions about previous medication reactions, specific medical conditions, recent or upcoming procedures, or medical history. This is generally the largest set of questions that appears within a condition, but it will only affect the inclusion and exclusion of individual medications, and not the flow or recommendations of the treatment algorithm.
We’re always striving to find ways to make our software more useable, and we hope you find that these updates to the workflow save you valuable time.
